The Canaries are bringing back the Little Birds youth dance team, a group that began in 1993 and was a fan-favorite at Canaries home games in the 1990s.
Little Birds will perform on June 29, July 13 and August 24.
The Canaries are currently seeking interested youth to join Little Birds. The program’s design allows “the performer” in children ages 6-12 years old to shine while educating them on dance technique and teamwork. Participants will receive top-notch training that will introduce dance skills, a variety of styles and performance qualities. In addition, participants receive a t-shirt, poms, and a free ticket to each game at which they perform.
“Little Birds provides a great outlet for youngsters with an interest in the performing arts,” says Carrie King, Canaries dance team coach. “Plus, it’s a fun and healthy opportunity for kids to stay physically active during the summer.”
Participants can register below. The program cost is $35 per camp, and practices take place that morning, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. For more information, contact the Canaries office.
A parent/guardian of a participating child must sign and submit this waiver form.
