Canaries Continue Exhibition Play Tonight In Yankton

Sioux Falls, SD-- The Sioux Falls Canaries hit the road for their first away game of the 2015 season this evening when they travel to Yankton, SD for their annual Youth Camp and Exhibition at Riverside Field hosted by the Yankton Optimist Club.

A pre-game baseball clinic and tailgate party will be held at 4:30 pm, with an exhibition between the Canaries and Sioux City Explorers scheduled for 6:00 PM.

Fans can pick up free tickets at business locations in Yankton, SD including the Riverfront Broadcasting Studios, located at 202 W. 2nd St. 

The Optimist Club began presenting the annual game in 1996 under an agreement with the Sioux Falls Canaries, and have carried on the tradition ever since. Proceeds from the day’s event will go towards various youth programs in the area. 

The Birds' return to Sioux Falls Stadium on Tuesday afternoon to host the New Jersey BlackSox at 2:00 PM in a closed door exhibition. Fans will have the opportunity to catch the team in action on Thursday May 14th at 6 PM against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. Admission to Thursday night's game will be free, with concessions available in the main concourse area.
