The RedHawks scored three more in the third with a pair of doubles, taking a 6-1 lead.

The Canaries loaded the bases in the bottom of the third, and Maxx Garrett brought in Jordan Smith and David Bergin with a two-run double to cut the deficit to 6-3. After a walk by Jabari Henry loaded the bases again, Jordan Dean grounded out to end the inning.

The RedHawks added a seventh run in the sixth on a Devan Ahart sacrifice fly.

Newly signed Canary Chad Martin allowed four runs in the eighth inning to bring the game to its eventual final score.
