Starting pitcher Shawn Blackwell (2-9, 4.40 ERA) suffered the loss after allowing six runs on eight hits over five innings.  The right-hander walked three batters and recorded three strikeouts in the rain-shorted outing.

Angel Chavez provided the only run support of the night for the Birds’, driving in a pair of runs with a two-out, two-run single into left-field.  Jason Repko and RJ Perucki reached base on back-to-back walks, and scored the only two runs of the night on the Chavez single.
