Canaries Host RedHawks In Three-Game Series Starting Monday Night

Posted: 8/21/2015

The Sioux Falls Canaries are on the road for a quick weekend series against the St. Paul Saints, but return to the Birdcage on Monday, August 24th to open up a three-game series against their North Division rivals, the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks.  Take a moment to check out everything that's going on at the ballpark this week!

For the first time ever, the Sioux Falls Canaries will be hosting a Food Truck Day on Monday, August 24th from 11:30 AM- 7:00 PM.  Local Food Truck vendors will have their delicious food items available for purchase behind the left field wall  near parking lot A.  The Canaries are encouraging everyone in Sioux Falls to come out and sample the delicious food items, and cast their vote for the top truck in town!  Fans can vote for the best tasting food truck, and the top food truck will be awarded a plaque along with tickets to an upcoming game!

HERE'S THE LIST OF FOOD TRUCKS SCHEDULED TO COMPETE:

Tuesday night will be another “Give Back Tuesday” at the Birdcage presented by Feeding South Dakota.  Fans will have the opportunity to donate a canned good or non-perishable food item at Sioux Falls Stadium and receive BOGO tickets to Tuesday night’s game.

The Sioux Falls Canaries along with the Sioux Falls Stampede will hold a benefit raffle for Sioux Falls radio personality Ben “Cade” Anderson this Tuesday, August 25th during the Canaries game versus Fargo-Moorhead at 7PM. The benefit is to support Cade who will undergo brain surgery to remove a mass inside his brain on Wednesday, August 26th. The surgery’s purpose is to identify what the mass is and to take out as much as they safely can while determining treatment and recovery to follow. Cade has been a huge supporter of the Canaries and Stampede for many years.

The raffle is to help with medical costs that Cade is encountering with his surgery and treatment. 100% of the money raised during the raffle on Tuesday night will go directly to Cade’s Emergency Fund at First PREMIER Bank. Raffle tickets will sell 1-for-$5, 3-for-$10 and 10-for-$20. Prizes from the raffle include:

·         A team autographed Canaries jersey
·         Canaries suite rental with 20 tickets for September 7th home game
