Canaries Make August Scheduling Changes

Sioux Falls, SD- The Sioux Falls Canaries announced on Tuesday that the organization has made a few scheduling changes at Sioux Falls Stadium for the month of August.

The always popular “Bark in the Park Night” has been moved from this Saturday, August 8th to Saturday, September 5th at 6:05 PM.

The night is being presented by Hidden Paradise Pet Kennels and fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to the ballpark. In addition, fans will receive a FREE 1 night stay at Hidden Paradise Pet Kennels for each dog that attends the game!  Sign your four-legged friends up for contests throughout the evening, including “Best Dressed Dog”, “Biggest Dog”, “Best Trick”, and more!  Tickets for all dogs will cost just $5 with proceeds benefiting local animal shelters in the community.

This Saturday, August 8th is “Pheasants Throwback Night,” presented by Fit My Feet. Canaries players will be wearing old Sioux Falls Fighting Pheasants jerseys which fans will have a chance to win through a raffle. Fans will also have a chance to take home a jersey worn by Ozzie Canseco, Jason Repko, Richard Stock, David Bergin and Brian Humphries through a special silent auction. All proceeds will benefit the Cagey’s Kids Foundation.

The first 750 fans will receive a commemorative Canaries cup, compliments of Fit My Feet. Fans will also have the opportunity to win two Canaries team autographed jersey through a free raffle thanks to Fit My Feet. 

The Canaries also announced the start time for their series finale against the Gary-Southshore RailCats on Sunday, August 16th has been moved from 4:05 PM to 2:05 PM for Superhero Day presented by DataSync and Rainbow Comics, Cards and Collectibles. The first 2,000 fans through the gates will receive a free set of Canaries team baseball cards, compliments of Rainbow Comics, Cards and Collectibles!

Thanks to Rainbow Comics, Cards and Collectibles, fans of all ages will have the opportunity to take pictures and interact with some of their favorite superheroes, including Captain America, Wonder Woman, Dr. Doom, Scarlet Witch, Iron Man, Batman and more! Members of the Central Garrison - 501st Legion will be there in Star Wars costume as well. Kids will get to run the bases, and meet the players and coaches to get their Rainbow 2015 Cards autographed after the game!
