SIOUX FALLS, SD- The Sioux Falls Canaries (10-10) open up a big four-game series against their North Division rivals, the St. Paul Saints (17-2) on Friday night at Sioux Falls Stadium.  Canaries players will unveil their new military uniforms during the game, with a spectacular All-Star Fireworks display set to go off at nights end, sponsored by the Orthopedic Institute and Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital.

The two teams square off at 5:30 PM in the first game of a double-header, with newly acquired starting pitcher, Stephen Bougher (0-0, 0.00) taking the mound against Saints RHP Dustin Crenshaw (4-0, 0.90 ERA).

It is a home coming of sorts for Bougher, who pitched collegiately for South Dakota State, guiding the Jackrabbits to a 2013 Summit League tournament championship.  The Papillion, Nebraska native finished his college career as the Jackrabbits’ leader in career starts (48) and in innings pitched (299.1).  He compiled a 22-15 record, placing him second all-time in victories.

The righty made 23 starts for the Gary-Southshore Railcats in 2014, posting an 8-7 record to go along with a 4.80 ERA.  Bougher recorded a career high 58 strikeouts in 122 innings pitched last season, and walked a career low, 34 batters.

Reigning American Association Rookie of the Year, Jeremy Strawn will take the mound in the night cap for the Canaries, with LHP Kramer Sneed (2-1, 3.08 ERA) toeing the rubber for the Saints.  The Canaries handed Sneed his only loss of the season on June 7th at CHS Field in downtown St. Paul.

Gates open at 4:30 PM on Friday night, with concessions and Canaries merchandise available all night long.  Get your tickets to any of the Canaries 50 home games this season by contacting the Canaries Ticket Office at (605) 336-6060 or visit www.sfcanaries.com.
