Former SDSU standout, Stephen Bougher (1-0, 0.00 ERA) signed with the Birds’ late in the afternoon, and was immediately put into action, making his first start of the season.  The right-hander held a dangerous Saints offense in check, allowing just five hits over six shutout innings.

The Birds’ bottom third of the order came up big in game one, with Tyler Shover, RJ Perucki, and Harrison Kain each posting a 2-for-3 day at the plate.  Kain’s two-run homerun (2) in the bottom of the 5th inning propelled the Canaries to their 11th win of the season.

St. Paul took game two of the double-dip by the final score of 6-2 after posting a big five run inning in the top of the 2nd inning,.
