WINNIPEG, MB-- Friday night's game at Shaw Park between the Sioux Falls Canaries and Winnipeg Goldeyes has been canceled due to rain and poor field conditions.  The game will not be made up.

The Canaries return home on Saturday, September 5th to open up their final home-stand of the 2015 season.  The Birds' will welcome the American Association's expansion team, the Joplin Blasters to Sioux Falls Stadium for the first time ever. Joplin enters the weekend one-game behind the Laredo Lemurs, who currently hold the lead in the wild-card race.  Canaries RHP Stephen Bougher (5-5, 3.77 ERA) will make his final start of the season in the series opener.

The Canaries kick off the homestand with Bark In the Park night on Saturday September 5th!   Gates open at 5:00 PM with a pre-game meet and greet with Stampede players and coaches and music from the Cartwright Brothers!

Fans are encouraged to bring their four-legged friends to the ball-game for the final Bark in the Park night of the 2015 season presented by Hidden Paradise!  Make sure you sign your dogs up for a variety of contests throughout the night, including Best Trick, Best Costume, and Littlest Dog!  Stop by the Hidden Paradise table and ask about the Free One-Night Stay Cards!

It is also Stampede Night where fans will have their first chance to meet the defending Clark Cup champion Sioux Falls Stampede hockey team!
