Late T-Bones Run Sinks Canaries

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Sioux Falls Canaries kept pace early, but fell behind as Kansas City grabbed game two of the team’s three-game set 12-5 on Wednesday night. Mike Hart clubbed his first career home run in the loss.
Kansas City took an early lead for the second straight night, this time in the third inning. A couple of groundouts brought in two runs.
Sioux Falls tied the game in the bottom of the inning. Chris Grayson hit an RBI infield single to make it 2-1 and Maxx Garrett tied the game with a bases-loaded walk
The two sides scored three each in the fourth, all on home runs. Mason Davis and Todd Cunningham went back-to-back for Kansas city, making it 5-2.
Mike Hart’s first career home run, a three-run blast to right, tied the game at 5 in the bottom half of the inning.
With the game knotted up at 5-5, Kansas City scored a pair in the fifth thanks to a double and wild pitch. Mason Davis made it 8-5 in the sixth on a delayed steal of home.
The T-Bones scored four runs in the ninth to bring the game to its final score.
ODDS AND ENDS
The Canaries fell to 13-12 in middle games … Sioux Falls is 15-19 when hitting a home run this season … Mike Hart improved to a seven-game hitting streak … the Canaries ended their night with their longest losing streak of the season at seven games.
