The Canaries Close Out A 3-Game Series With Chicago Tonight

The Sioux Falls Canaries close out a three-game series against the Chicago Dogs Wednesday night at Impact Field. The Birds took the opening game of the series in convincing fashion, 7-1. Dylan Thompson went 8 innings, allowing just two hits and struck out five in the victory. Maxx Garrett went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI while Burt Reynolds went yard and finished the night 2-for-3 with an RBI.
On Tuesday, the Canaries lost a heartbreaker, 1-0 in 11 innings. Miles Nordgren went six innings allowing no runs and just three hits before the bullpen took over. Cesilio Pimentel and Kyle Schepel combined to go another 2.3 innings and kept the game scoreless. The Dogs would win the game in the bottom of the 11th on a single from Shawson Duntson.
The Birds are 6-11 on the year and have a chance for their second series win of the year tonight. The Dogs sit at 3-14 and at the bottom of the North Division.
