Tonight's Game Postponed Due To Rain

SIOUX FALLS, SD – Tonight’s Home Opener against the Sioux City Explorers has been postponed due to rain. The Game will be made up as part of a double-header on Sunday, July 30th starting at 1:05 PM.

Tickets for tonight’s game will be good for the game on July 30th or refundable for any future home game during the 2017 season. If you have any questions regarding tickets or rainout information, contact the Canaries Ticket Office at (605) 336-6060.

The Canaries will push starting pitcher Grady Wood back to Sunday Afternoon to help keep the pitching rotation in line. A former 10th round draft pick by the Seattle Mariners in 2012, Wood finished the season 3-2 with a 3.49 ERA in 22 relief appearances. Sunday’s series finale will be the first start of the season for Wood.

The season-opening series wraps up on Sunday, May 21st at 4:05 PM, with the first 1,000 fans receiving a FREE Canaries Magnet Schedule, courtesy of First PREMIER Bank Card. The Birdcage gates will open at 3:00 PM with current Canaries players and coaches inside the main concourse area to help assist in the official opening of the Birdcage gates.
