Pitching Coach

Moore enters his 3rd season as pitching coach, 1st with Sioux Falls. 

Ben began his professional career signing as an Amateur Free Agent with the New York Yankees. After two seasons in their organization, Ben joined the Independent ranks in 2005 with the Calgary Vipers.

Moore was arguably the greatest pitcher in Sioux Falls Canaries history, finishing his 12-year career in 2014. Ben pitched for the Birds’ from 2008-11, and again in 2013-14. Ben started 121 games for Sioux Falls, compiling 797.1 and a 4.28 ERA. He holds several Canaries All-Time pitching records, including wins (55), games (121), and strikeouts (698).

Moore began his coaching career in 2015, serving as the pitching coach for the Washington Wild Things of the Frontier League. Ben returned to the American Association in 2016, working as the pitching coach for the Southern Division Laredo Lemurs. Under Moore’s guidance, the Lemurs pitching staff led the American Association in multiple categories (3.66 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, .244 opponent’s BA, .352 opponent’s slugging, and 10 shutouts).
