Executive Vice President of Business Operations

Jim Olander oversees all business operations for both the Sioux Falls Canaries and Sioux Falls Stampede hockey club.  He just completed his 13th season as the "Voice of the Sioux Falls Stampede," providing the play-by-play coverage during all games broadcast on News Talk KELO-AM 1320. He hosts the weekly radio program, Inside Stampede Hockey, Mondays on Sports Radio AM-1230 KWSN.

Olander began his sportscasting career while a student at St. Cloud State University where he spent three years as the sports director at 88.1FM-KVSC and two years at UTVS-TV. In his four years at St. Cloud, Olander won 11 Minnesota Associated Press awards, including two first place awards for hockey play-by-play broadcasting.

Olander broadcasted the 2006 and 2009 USHL All-Star Games and earned a first place award by the South Dakota Associated Press for play-by-play broadcasting in 2009. He graduated from St. Cloud State with a Degree in Mass Communications (TV-Journalism emphasis) in 2003.  He and his wife have two sons.
