Director of Media Relations/ Radio Play-By-Play Broadcaster

J.J. Hartigan returns for his third season as "The Voice" of Canaries Baseball.

Prior to joinging the Canaries, Hartigan spent five years as the radio voice of the Mankato Moondogs in the Northwoods League where he was named Broadcaster of the Year in 2011 and 2013. 

In addition to his work with the Moondogs, Hartigan spent three years as the radio broadcaster for the South Dakota State University Women’s Basketball program. While with the Jackrabbits, Hartigan had the privilege of broadcasting two NCAA Tournament appearances and one WNIT Final Four run. 

Fans may also recognize his voice from various Boys and Girls high school basketball tournaments on South Dakota Public Broadcasting, and coverage of high school and college athletics on the Midco Sports Network. 

Hartigan also joined the Sioux Falls Stampede broadcast team in 2014, joining long-time broadcaster, Jim Olander calling the 2015 Clark Cup Championship game at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. 

In his free time, Hartigan enjoys live music and spending time with his family and friends.
