Marr started all four seasons at shortstop for Rockhurst, finishing his college career with a .343 career batting average and a .964 fielding percentage. He scored 131 runs and had 98 RBI while totaling 240 hits, 31 doubles, six triples, nine home runs and 310 total bases.

A unanimous All-GLVC West first team selection his senior year, Marr led the Hawks with a .359 batting average and a .436 on-base percentage in 48 games. He reached base safely in his last 23 games.

Following his senior season, Marr was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Region Second Team and to the D2 Conference Commissioners' Association (D2CCA) All-Midwest Region Second Team.

Marr is also the reigning Division II Rawlings National Gold Glove Award winner, having posted a .968 fielding percentage with just seven errors during his junior year.
