The Sioux Falls Canaries believe baseball can bring people together, create lasting memories, and make a meaningful difference in our community. In 2021, Sioux Falls Canaries owners Brian Slipka and Anthony Albanese strengthened the organization’s commitment to local charities by launching the Canaries Community Fund, an initiative of the Slipka Foundation, now the True North Family Foundation. The Canaries Community Fund supports local nonprofit organizations, schools, youth programs, and community initiatives across Sioux Falls and the surrounding area. Our efforts focus on three important pillars: education, community engagement, and character-building opportunities for young people.

We are proud to support qualifying organizations through:

  • Complimentary Canaries tickets
  • Special game-day experiences
  • Fundraising opportunities
  • Community appearances and engagement
  • Opportunities to recognize organizations and the people they serve at the Birdcage

Through these experiences, we hope to make Canaries baseball accessible to more families, recognize individuals and organizations doing important work, and create special moments for those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend a game.

The Canaries are more than a baseball team. We are a community partner committed to using our games, stadium, and platform to positively impact the people and organizations that make Sioux Falls a great place to live.
