Barth to Return for the 2024 Season
Sioux Falls, SD – The Canaries re-sign the Minor League Sports Report Rookie of the Year, Jordan Barth.
Barth, 24, looks to pick up where he left off following an incredible rookie campaign in 2023 which saw him slash .298/.345/.437/.782 with 11 home runs, 19 doubles, and 66 runs batted in.
The Augustana University product had a flair for the dramatic this past season, walking-off the opposing club four times, highlighted by a walk off Grand Slam on May 17th against the Lincoln Saltdogs and walk-off two-run homerun on July 27th against the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks.
“We are thrilled to have Jordan back for his second season in a Canaries uniform,” says Canaries Manager Mike Meyer. “Knowing I can pencil his name into the lineup at shortstop every night gives myself and our club a ton of confidence. He is as sure handed in the field as anyone in our league, and will only continue to improve at the plate.”
