Lang Tabbed as Pitcher of the Week
Left-handed pitcher Neil Lang has been named the American Association Pitcher of the Week for the week ending July 7, 2024. This marks the second consecutive week that a Canaries pitcher has earned the honor.
Lang, now in his third season with Sioux Falls, rejoined the team in June after starting the year in the Atlantic League. The San Ramon, California, native went 2-0 this week, allowing a run and a walk over eleven innings while striking out eight.
Lang threw seven shutout innings Tuesday in Chicago before limiting Lincoln to one hit over four innings on Sunday. He is currently 2-0 with a 2.07 earned run average over four appearances this season.
