Rehwaldt, Brown Sweep Weekly Honors
Josh Rehwaldt has been named the PointStreak Batter of the Week and Tanner Brown has been tabbed as Pitcher of the Week, for the week ending July 14. This marks the first weekly honor for both and the third week in a row that a Canaries pitcher has been named Pitcher of the Week.
Rehwaldt went 10-23 with five extra base hits and eight runs batted in over six games. The University of Sioux Falls product, now in his second season with the Canaries, leads the league in slugging percentage (.664) and ranks second in batting average (.346) among qualified hitters.
Brown went 2-0 this week, allowing an earned run over 14 innings with 13 strikeouts. The Sioux Falls native and Harrisburg High School graduate is 7-3 this season, his seven wins the second-most leaguewide behind only Ty Culbreth while his 2.83 ERA ranks fourth.
The Canaries are a league-best 36-21 this season and embark on six-game road trip to Cleburne and Sioux City before the All-Star break.
