Canaries Re-Sign Outfielder Joe Vos
Sioux Falls, SD — The Sioux Falls Canaries are pleased to announce the return of outfielder Joe Vos for the 2026 season.
Vos, 22, joined the Birds midway through the 2025 campaign following an outstanding collegiate career at the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, Minn.) and made an immediate impact on the Sioux Falls lineup. A versatile left-handed hitter, Vos appeared in 56 games and provided steady defense in center field, showcasing his athleticism and range. At the plate, the rookie held his own, batting .246 with a .330 on-base percentage, while swiping 9 bases.
“I’m excited to have Joe back for another season,” said Canaries manager Mike Meyer. “He brings value in so many areas — from his defense in the outfield to his approach at the plate. I expect him to take a big step forward in his sophomore season.”
