LINCOLN – The Sioux Falls Canaries dropped the finale of the three-game series 4-3 to the Lincoln Saltdogs Sunday. The Birds head to Cleburne to continue the six-game roadtrip starting Monday.

Ty Culbreth turned in a solid start on the mound, going six innings while scattering six hits and two runs (two earned). He struck out four. Colby Wyatt (1-4) suffered the loss on the mound after allowing a go-ahead home run in the 8th to Yanio Perez. 

Carson Lance (3-4) earned the win for the Saltdogs in relief. James Pugliese earned his 25th save by inducing a game-ending double play with men on the corners in the ninth. 

Wyatt Ulrich, Angelo Altavilla and Cade Gotta each notched two-hit games for Sioux Falls. Mitch Glasser, Jabari Henry and Daryl Myers all recorded RBI. 

The Canaries begin the three-game set in Cleburne at 7:06 pm Monday. Starters for both teams are TBA. The Canaries return to The Birdcage August 30-September 6 to close the season.
