Sioux Falls, SD – The Sioux Falls Canaries are excited to announce the return of Mike Hart for his seventh season with the team. The Lowell, MA native continues to be a key figure in the Canaries lineup and will once again serve as the team’s hitting coach for the upcoming season.
Hart has proven to be one of the most consistent and productive players in Canaries history. As of last season, he ranks near the top in several key categories, including 2nd in games played (423), 2nd in hits (417), 3rd in home runs (62), 3rd in runs batted in (232), and 1st in hit-by-pitches (86). His leadership both on and off the field has been invaluable to the team.
“It’s huge to have Hart back for another season,” said Canaries manager Mike Meyer. “He is without a doubt one of the most productive hitters in the league. He is also one of the most clutch hitters in the league. Mike also serves as our hitting coach, and he puts in a ton of hours making sure our lineup is prepared with data and detailed scouting reports on the opposing team. His dedication is unmatched, and we are excited to have him continue to guide our offense this season.”
