Meet Our New Full-Time Staff
We would like to welcome several new full-time Birds to the team in 2024:
Jess Bratrud is our new Director of Food & Beverage. Jess comes to us with a wealth of experience and will be responsible for the overseeing all food service operations at the Birdcage.
Ali Gabriel is our new Director of Marketing & Engagement. Ali comes to our team from Keller Williams where she served as the Director of Marketing. Ali will work to advance and strengthen visibility within the surrounding community while also overseeing the marketing efforts for both baseball and non-baseball events at the ballpark.
Sterling Rausch has been named the Stadium and Grounds Coordinator. Sterling is no stranger to the team as he has worked in a part-time role for the organization since 2022. Sterling’s role will focus on stadium maintenance and upkeep during the 2024 season.
Ryan Christopher joined the Canaries as an intern for the 2023 and has been promoted to our Baseball Operations Assistant and Clubhouse Manager for the 2024 season. Ryan will assist our General Manager throughout the season with a primary focus on overseeing both the home and visiting clubhouse.
Canaries Going Cashless
The Sioux Falls Canaries have announced the Birdcage will be a cashless facility effective immediately. Fans can expect a 100% cash-free environment at the box office, team shop and concessions. “We understand that this is a change and with that will come opportunities and some challenges”, said team president Brian Jamros. “Contactless payment is no longer a trend but has become the norm around the country and we believe this change will lead to faster service and shorter wait times for our fans.”
There will be select dates that Canaries Cash will be available including, School Day (May 20) and Daycare Day (June 27). On these select dates, cash can be exchanged for vouchers to be used in the team shop and concession areas as needed.
The Sioux Falls Canaries open their 2024 season on May 10th with their first two series of the season on the road. The Canaries will take the field for their first home game on May 17th with first pitch scheduled for 7:05pm on Fireworks Friday presented by Reynolds Construction Management.
