The Canaries Re-Sign Hunter Clanin

SIOUX FALLS, SD – Do-it-all Outfielder, Hunter Clanin, will be roaming the Birdcage outfield once again in 2024!

Clanin, 28, returns for this second season with the Birds following a great 23’. Armed with one of the best arms in the league (9 outfield assists), American Association baserunners will once again think twice before taking an extra base.

2023 Stats: .256/.340/.462/.802 – 17 HR (career high) – 67 RBI (career high) – 19 SB – 45 walks (career high)

“I am very excited to have Hunter back for the upcoming season,” says Canaries Manager Mike Meyer. “He can impact a game in so many ways. He’s a plus defender, with arguably the best arm in the league. He has 20+ home run pop at the plate, has really improved his approach and plate discipline, and can swipe a bag when needed. We will look for Hunter to once again be a major run producer for us.”

The Canaries kick off their home schedule on Friday, May 17th against the Fargo Moorhead RedHawks, with a can’t-miss fireworks show following the game! For more information on group outings, season tickets, and so much more, visit the Canaries website at www.sfcanaries.com.
