Josh Rehwaldt and Thomas Dorminy have been recognized by the American Association as the Carbliss Batter of the Week and Carbliss Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for the period ending May 19.

Rehwaldt went 14-25 over six games against Lincoln and Chicago with three homeruns, seven extra base hits and nine runs batted in. The 2024 league all-star also hit for the cycle on Friday and tied an American Association record crossing home plate six times. This marks the second career weekly award for the University of Sioux Falls product and his first since July 14, 2024.

Dorminy tossed seven shutout innings on Friday, scattering six hits and did not issue a walk while fanning nine Chicago batters. The Lutz, Florida, native returns to the American Association this season after topping the league with seven wins in 2020. This marks the first career weekly award for Dorminy and the first for a Canaries pitcher since July 14, 2024.

The Canaries are 5-4 following the team’s first homestand and will open a seven-game roadtrip Tuesday night at Lake Country.
