Sioux Falls Canaries Announce Return of Trevor Achenbach Ahead of 2026 Season
Sioux Falls, SD – The Sioux Falls Canaries are pleased to announce the signing of elite defensive second baseman Trevor Achenbach for the upcoming season.
Achenbach has been a cornerstone of the Canaries’ infield since first joining the club, building an impressive résumé from 2023–2025. Over that span, the sure-handed second baseman tallied 212 hits, 54 doubles, and 34 home runs, establishing himself as one of the most complete middle infielders in the league.
In 2024, Achenbach’s standout performance earned him American Association All-Star honors, solidifying his reputation as one of the premier second basemen in the league. His ability to combine power with defensive excellence makes him a rare two-way asset in today’s game.
