Canaries Land Three on Postseason All-Star Team; Estrada Wins MVP, Batting Title

Moorhead, MN – Calvin Estrada, Jordan Barth and Josh Rehwaldt have been named to the 2025 American Association Postseason All-Star Team, with Estrada earning Player of the Year honors.

Estrada, who hit a league-best .352 this season, is the first Canaries player to win MVP since Beau Torbert in 2010 and the team’s first batting champion since Alay Lago in 2019. He led the American Association with 129 hits, the fourth-most in a single season in franchise history and the most by a Sioux Falls player since 2013.

Estrada also paced the league in slugging percentage (.604), while finishing second in RBI (88), third in doubles (30), homeruns (20), and runs scored (71) and fourth in on-base percentage (.413).

Barth led the league with seven triples, ranked third in both total hits (120) and runs scored (71), fourth in doubles (25) and slugging percentage (.545), fifth in homeruns (19), sixth in RBI (66) and tenth in batting average (.303).

Rehwaldt topped the league in on-base percentage (.430), finished second in both runs scored (74) and walks (70), third in batting average (.315), sixth in slugging (.531) and ninth in total hits (108).

The Canaries have qualified for the Miles Wolff Cup Playoffs for a third straight season and will open postseason play Wednesday at home against Sioux City. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
