Happy Gilmore & Bob Barker Bobbleheads, Country Night & Benefit for Canaries Player with Cancer

The Sioux Falls Canaries are back home for six games in six nights from Aug. 4-9, with Friday’s “Happy Gilmore Bobblehead Night” and Saturday’s “Country Night” sleeveless jersey auction as the featured promotions.
But perhaps the most powerful event of the week will come on Thursday in an AC/DC-themed fundraiser for Canaries player Ryan Richardson, who has been unable to play this season as he fights cancer, with all proceeds going to his medical expenses.
The details:
⚾️Thursday’s game is billed as “Ribbons for Ryan,” AC/DC-themed event where the Canaries will wear special AC/DC-themed jerseys, with plenty of AC/DC tunes booming all evening. Those jerseys will also be available for fans to take home HERE!
ALL PROCEEDS from the jersey auction will go directly to the family of Canaries pitcher Ryan Richardson to help his ongoing battle with cancer that has kept him off the field this season. Cancer awareness bracelets will be for sale for $5 each; and of course, there will be a donation box. The Canaries would prefer cash for the fundraiser.

This is all part of the usual Throwback Thursday promotion, which means throwback beer prices ($5 domestics) and throwback music from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.
⚾️ Friday’s Happy Gilmore & Bob Barker Bobblehead Night will honor the 1995 comedy classic and feature two bobbleheads from the famous fight between Adam Sandler’s bad boy pro golfer and “Price is Right” game show icon Bob Barker, a native South Dakotan.
The first 400 people through front gates of The Birdcage will receive either a Happy Gilmore bobblehead or a Bob Barker bobblehead. Gates open at 6:05 p.m., with the first pitch at 7:05 and a phenomenal fireworks show immediately following the game.
⚾️Saturday’s Country Night will feature plenty of country music and special sleeveless jerseys and faux denim jeans worn by the players. Fans can bid to take home the jerseys in an online DASH app auction HERE.
