Free Tickets for Kids Night and Some Harry Potter Magic Highlight Canaries Homestand
SIOUX FALLS — You know the saying: “The best things in life are free.”
Well, on Friday night in the happiest summer place in Sioux Falls, those words will ring true for all kids age 12 and under.
The Sioux Falls Canaries will admit those kids into their 7:05 p.m. game that night for free, thanks to some of the club’s generous partners in the community. Annually, Kids Night brings one of the biggest and liveliest crowds of the season at a time when some kids are back in school, some kids are about to go back, and all kids get to hang on to summer just a little while longer.
In addition to the grandest, most explosive Friday Night Fireworks Show of the entire season, kids will enjoy free face paintings from a professional face painter in the Kids Zone, near the free bounce house and playground area.
For kids of all ages looking for something even more magical than a baseball game under the blue sky and an evening full of whimsical entertainment, The Birdcage will turn into Harry Potter’s village “Hogsmeade” on Saturday for “Wizards and Wands Night.”
The first 500 kids through the front entrance will receive a free wizard wand! There will be photo opportunities with Harry Potter characters and a free wizard training course from 4:45 to 5:00. To reserve your choice of one of five wands and a spot in the training course, scan the bar code on the Canaries social media.

“$10 Tuesday” on Aug. 18 features special $10 tickets (online pre-sale only) and $10 walking taco meals.
Wednesday, Aug. 19 is “Waggin’ Wednesday,” when fans can bring their dogs to the game for free and enjoy $3 hot dogs. Also on Wednesdays, GreatLIFE members get in free when you scan your membership at the ticket window.
Thursday, Aug. 20 is “Throwback Thursday,” with $5.00 domestic beers all evening, the Canaries wearing throwback jerseys, and throwback 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s tunes playing all night.
Sunday, Aug. 23 is a Sunday Family Family Fun Day, featuring a $60 Family Four Pack — 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 sodas for $60 or a $60 Diamond Club all-inclusive wristband, which means a Diamond Club ticket and unlimited access to a food and beverage menu.
