REHWALDT HOMERS IN SERIES FINALE AT FARGO
Fargo, ND – Josh Rehwaldt launched a solo homerun two batters into the game on Monday but it was all Fargo-Moorhead after that as the RedHawks downed the Canaries 7-1 at Newman Outdoor Field.
The RedHawks answered with a three-run shot in the bottom of the first to take the lead for good, scored three more runs in the fifth and added one in the sixth.
The Birds loaded the bases with two outs in the top of the seventh but couldn’t convert and were limited to three hits in the contest.
Anthony Hall and Trevor Achenbach each collected singles in addition to Rehwaldt’s roundtripper as the Canaries dip to 41-40. The Birds open a six-game homestand with a Tuesday night contest against Winnipeg beginning at 6:35pm.
