CURIALLE KNOCKS IN FIVE TO FUEL BIRDS IN FARGO

Fargo, ND – Michael Curialle finished with three hits and five RBI while Garrett Martin tossed six strong innings to help the Sioux Falls Canaries down Fargo-Moorhead 13-4 on Sunday.

The RedHawks struck for two runs in the first inning but Anthony Hall answered with an RBI single in the top of the second.

The Birds scored seven times in the third inning and never looked back. Mike Hart tied the game with an RBI single before Curialle drove in two with a base hit. Hall followed with an RBI triple and TJ Racherbaumer added a run-scoring single. Joe Vos capped the crooked frame with a two-run homer.

Sioux Falls plated five more runs in the top of the fifth. Josh Rehwaldt clubbed an RBI double and Curialle brought in three more with a two-out single before Hall tacked on a run-scoring base knock to put the Birds in front 13-2. Fargo-Moorhead could only manage a pair of sacrifice flies down the stretch as the Birds pick up back-to-back victories to improve to 41-39 on the season.

Garrett Martin earned the win, allowing three runs over six innings and fanned five while Kody Dalen and Will Levine each tallied a scoreless inning of relief. Curialle, Rehwaldt and Hall each finished with three hits while Hall added three RBI. The Canaries wrap up their seven-game roadtrip Monday night at 7:02pm.
