HART’S HOMER HIGHLIGHTS CANARIES IN LOSS TO CLEBURNE
Sioux Falls, SD – Mike Hart hit an inside-the-park homerun on the first pitch of the bottom of the first inning Tuesday night but it was all Cleburne after that, dealing the Canaries an 11-2 loss at the Birdcage.
The Railroaders tied the game on a fourth inning double and took the lead for good with an RBI groundout one batter later. They pulled away with five runs in the top of the sixth before the Birds got one back in the bottom half. Joe Vos hit a leadoff a single, stole two bases and scored on an error.
But Cleburne answered with two runs in the seventh inning and added two more in the ninth to cruise to their seventh consecutive victory.
Hart had two of the four Sioux Falls hits as the Canaries dip to 46-48. The two teams resume their series Wednesday at 6:35pm.
